About Topplecat
Topplecat is a cozy physics puzzle starring a smug orange cat who firmly believes that nothing belongs on the table. Perched on a stool with a basket of yarn balls, the cat fires one shot at a time at towers of cardboard boxes, stacks of books, tin cans, heavy bricks and fizzy soda crates. Your job is to knock every last item off the table before the yarn runs out.
Every shot is real physics. Boxes topple, books tip and slide, cans roll right off the edge, bricks barely budge, and FIZZ crates burst and blast everything around them, sometimes setting off the next crate in a chain. A single clever shot can clear half the table.
There are 60 campaign tables that grow from a lone stack of boxes to crowded shelves, plus a new Daily table every day. Each table was generated and then cleared by a physics solver: the number of shots it needed is the par, and you always get two spare yarn balls on top. Clear a table at par for three stars, and keep your unused yarn for a big score bonus.
How to play
1Tap where the yarn should go
Tap anywhere above the table and the cat fires a yarn ball on an arc that passes right through that spot. Hold and drag to preview the dotted arc first, then let go to fire.
2Knock things off the table
An item counts as cleared the moment it falls below the table top. Hitting the bottom of a stack topples everything above it, and the cat fires from the left, so things fall off the far right edge most easily.
3Know your household items
Cardboard boxes are light, books tip and slide, tin cans roll, and grey bricks are heavy and hard to move. Red FIZZ crates are explosive: hit one and it bursts.
4Set off FIZZ crates
A FIZZ crate bursts when the yarn hits it or something slams into it, blasting everything nearby and setting off other crates in range. Line up a chain to clear the table in one go.
5Watch your yarn and par
The top bar shows the level, its par (the shots our solver needed), how many items are left, and your remaining yarn balls. You always get par plus two. Run out with items still on the table and you can retry instantly.
6Stuck? Take a hint
On a fresh table, tap HINT (or press H) to see the first shot our solver used. It costs 300 points, so try it yourself first. Fail a level twice and you can skip it.
7Earn stars and a big score
Clear a table at par or better for three stars, one shot over for two, and anything else for one. Each item is worth 100 points (bricks 150, FIZZ crates 200), every extra item in the same shot adds a combo bonus, and each spare yarn ball is worth 1,000.
Pro tips
- Aim low: knocking out the bottom item topples everything stacked on it.
- Push toward the far right edge; that's the shortest way off the table.
- Wait a beat after each shot. Towers keep tipping, and the next shot is easier once things settle.
- Look for FIZZ crates next to other crates or tall stacks; one burst can do the work of three shots.
- Play the Daily table every day: it's the same table for everyone.
- Keyboard: arrow keys move the crosshair and Space fires, R restarts, H shows a hint, P pauses.
